A Walk in the Country

Our morning walk today involved a drive to Rancho San Antonio near Cupertino and despite being in a hugely populated area it was like remote countryside with loads of trails to follow and loads of these Ground Squirrels. Leslie, Gaye, Thomas and Elliot came to so it was a good family morning out.
Gaye enjoying pushing Elliot in his buggy. Thomas and I had a competition spotting wildlife and his eyes were much keener than mine although it was maybe the 25 cents a sighting that made him so keen.
There were some great hiding places
The park also has Deer Hollow Farm which is a great favourite of the kids.
These pair were so well behaved
Eagle eyed Tommy spotted this Deer and Fawn by the side of the trail. Other animals he spotted were loads of Ground squirrels, Buzzards, Wild Turkeys, and several Deer.
Last night we dined out in Cafe Mac at Infinite Loop the HQ of Apple. Its always good fun there as the food is great with loads of variety and its just lovely sitting in the centre of the campus. They move to a new campus next year and Fraser took us home via the site. Its huge and very spectacular and when its completed will be the greatest office building in the world with zero carbon footprint. It will be a circular building and to walk round the perimeter will be 3 miles.

25 cents a sighting seems like a good inducement to me.
