A Morning in Cartmel and Grange over Sands

On our morning walk you can see Cartmel Priory in the distance

Norman with his Parsons Jack Russell Terrier called Bruce
Our Chalet for the coming week. It is very well furnished and very comfortable.

After breakfast we headed in to Cartmel  to explore. Norman and I went for a walk while Gaye and Doreen went to a Craft Fair.

Cartmel Priory
A lovely stream running through the centre of Cartmel
A nice bridge going over the stream
The main square in Cartmel and the Kings Arms where we will be dining tonight
Cartmel Racecourse right in the centre of the village.
After Cartmel Gaye and I headed to Grange over Sands and a walk along the lovely Promenade followed by a light lunch in a small cafe.

A Visit from Doreen and Norman

This is Findlay. All their dogs in recent years have been named after Scottish rugby internationalists. He has had major
Surgery in the last few weeks but is recovering well.

A group photo. It will be 2 years since we were last all together. Hopefully we will meet up again in Wales next year.

Gaye and Doreen have been friends for about 50 years.

We visited Samye Ling and in the small loch there we saw 3 families of Ducks.

The Monastery at Samye Ling and when Doreen and Norman last visited it was only built on one side instead of the 4 now.

A Wee Bobby Dazzler

Unfortunately Scotland had an off day and the Welsh proved much too strong for us but it was an enjoyable day for everybody. Hannah proved to be a real star and captivated everybody with her charm. She posed for photographs before we all headed off to Murrayfield with a couple of flags made by her and Mummy.
