The Last Mile

Looking very tired at the finish the 3 older men made it to the seat just under a mile from Melrose while the 2 younger men were bringing up the rear and never made it to the seat in time for well deserved rest. The fittest without doubt was Bowman the dog who probably covered over 20 miles on the day.

The Eildons after 13 miles

Martin's Birthday choice was from Ancrum to
Melrose a distance of 14 miles with a climb over
the Eildons at the finish. We were all very tired at the finish but glad to have completed this long walk
without any rain.

Gabrielle at the Monument

When i suggested we had a walk to the monument this afternoon Gaye reluctantly agreed and she enjoyed every minute of the walk as the weather was beautiful. She was glad when we made it to the Monument and had a good few minutes to get her breath back.
