The Cotswolds Way - Our Holiday House

We booked this house called Chipping House in Wotton-under-Edge in the Cotswolds last October and at last the time came for the 6 "Last of the Summer Wine Walkers" plus partners to enjoy our walking holiday. The house was superb with 6 bedrooms including 4 en-suite plus a huge Dining Room, Lounge, Library, and a lovely Summer House in the extensive Garden. Wotton-under-Edge was an ideal place at the southern end of the Cotswold Way with some of the Way's nicest walks within easy access.

The lovely Summer House. We got into the habit of sitting in here for afternoon tea after the days walking and Gaye and Tom used it for an afternoon nap as the chairs were so comfortable.

The Lounge with a very controversial painting above the fireplace. None of us could identify what it was called and even when we contacted the owner she could not tell us. This caused much discussion and a lot of hilarity. It was not until Aileen returned to Edinburgh before we discovered it was called "Rape of the Daughters of Leuppicus". We knew it was about a Rape but nobody could remember which one.

The Library with a great collection of books and an ideal place to watch Andy Murray at Wimbledon.
