Promantory Summit

Promantory Summit is where the Union Pacific Railroad joined the East with the West.
Leslie is in the photograph with her mum & dad Sidne & Carlo beside Engine 119 a replica of the Engine used that day when the team from the West met the team from the East.
We travelled here on Friday on our way to Menden near Logan where they have built their new house.

The Largest Man Made Hole in the Ground in the World

We were take up to the Kennecott Utah Copper's Bingham Canyon Mine today by Carlo & Sidne, Leslie's parents and the experience was fantastic. It is so large that the huge trucks carrying up to 300 tonnes of rock appear like little toys on the ground.
